Charity Golf Tournament

The 21st ODSC/SOS Charity Golf Tournament was held on September 17, 2011 at The Valley At Eastport on a cloudy, cool day in Little River. Play began a few minutes before 9:00 AM and concluded a little after 2:00 PM. Players enjoyed food & beverages before, during and after play. A grand time was enjoyed by all 68 players and all the volunteers. It's great to see the veteran players who continue to return each year to play in our tournament. New players were welcomed by all and hopefully, they'll be back next year.

The scores were extremely low this year, even after course adjustments were made to "toughen" the layout. All teams were under par, while the top four teams were more than 11 under par. See below for the results.

It takes a lot of volunteer help to run every golf tournament - both professional and amateur. Listed below are our fellow club members who graciously gave their time and talents to make this tournament as successful as it could be.

Because of the players, volunteers, hole sponsors, and raffle contributors, our local and regional charities will benefit greatly from the proceeds of this our 21st consecutive golf tournament. Words cannot express our sincere appreciation and our thanks to each and everyone of you.
